I’d like to take this special time during our holidays to remember a fellow adept nature lover.

Sean McGlynn was a very special individual, who possessed a love and passion for nature. One of his favorite pastimes was to go looking for salamanders with his brother Trevor. They grew up in Massachusettes, where they would foster their love of amphibians (and all living things) during their outdoor adventures. This write-up is dedicated to the loving memory of Sean and is from his brother Trever, sister-in-law Taylor, and his nephew (whom is also named Sean). It would have been his 31st Birthday this year.

We know Sean and Uncle Tom are looking down on Trevor, Taylor and their son Sean this holiday season and everyday. They would be so proud of the family you have created and the love you show Sean each and everyday. <3

Thank you for sharing your heart-warming story of brother, son and naturalist, Sean McGlynn. It is a reminder that teaching children to be curious about nature is essential, but beyond that there are others, like Sean, who are born with the gift. Love is protective of each other and nature. I will remember Sean McGlynn to the salamanders here in Southern British Columbia.
